The Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Operations Management. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, contributing to the intellectual growth of a diverse student body and the advancement of the field.
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Operations Management will be responsible for engaging in teaching, research, and service activities. This includes:
Developing and delivering high-quality instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses related to Operations Management, such as Introduction to Operations Management, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Project Management, and Business Statistics.
Conducting original research in Operations Management and publishing their findings in peer-reviewed academic journals.
Seeking external funding to support research activities.
Actively participating in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work, program development, and community outreach.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Currently hold, or have previously held, the academic rank of Assistant Professor and have a Ph.D. in operations management, management science, industrial engineering, or a closely related field.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry experience in operations or supply chain management.
Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
Familiarity with current trends and technologies in operations management, such as data analytics, Industry 4.0, and sustainability.
Record of successful grant proposals or publications in top-tier academic journals.
