Job Summary
The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position to begin August 1, 2025. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The successful candidate will have a record of successful undergraduate teaching, and will be expected to teach large lecture courses, coordinate labs, and train teaching assistants. The Lecturer will primarily teach lower-division Introductory Biology or Microbiology courses to majors and non-majors. Depending on departmental needs, the Lecturer may also have opportunities to mentor undergraduates in research and to teach more advanced undergraduate courses in their area of expertise.

A PhD in Biology or related field is required.
