Coordinator of Student Activities & Engagement

Reporting to the Executive Director of Student Activities & Engagement (SAE), the Coordinator of Student Activities & Engagement spearheads the development and implementation of a comprehensive programming and engagement calendar for the campus. The Coordinator oversees the planning and implementation of programming emanating from Student Activities & Engagement, including department-sponsored initiatives and campus-wide events, including large-scale student events ("signature programs"). The Coordinator oversees and executes a consistent schedule of student-centered programs, including weekend and evening events, ensuring alignment with division goals and current student engagement needs. The Coordinator serves as the primary advisor for student programming bodies and clubs and organizations, including Campus Activities Board and Gael Force. The Coordinator is responsible for developing thematic and intentional programming that meets the needs of an ever-changing student demographic. The role develops and manages the logistics and operations of events and serves as the department's professional staff point-of-contact to campus partners such as food services, facilities, event planning, and business office.

Departments within Student Life include Campus Assault, Response, and Education (CARE), Campus Housing, Career Services, Club Sports, Community Life, Center for Women & Gender Equity, Counseling and Psychological Services, the Dean of Students, Intercultural Center, New Student & Family Programs, Public Safety & Transportation, Residential Experience, Recreational Sports, Student Disability Services, Student Activities & Engagement, the Student Health Center, and Veterans Services.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience
PREFERRED: Master's Degree
Experience: (years required and applicable field of experience):
Minimum two years administrative/office support experience; experience in similar setting or higher education
highly desirable. Evidence of successful work with undergraduate students will be seen as an asset.
Skills/Abilities:
? Experience working closely with populations from diverse backgrounds in a higher educational setting
(e.g. academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds);
? Demonstrated experience with and commitment to the promotion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and
belonging.
? Knowledge of Word, Excel, Canva, Google
? Ability to handle complex phone inquiries
? Interacts in a calm manner in times of high service demand from diverse student groups
? Ability to work in an organized manner with emphasis on detail and accuracy.
? Ability to work independently with minimum supervision yet remain part of a team.
? Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and to protect the privacy of students.
Salary Description 70,000
