Job Description
The Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at CU Boulder is part of the chancellor’s office and is charged with:
Supporting the chancellor’s diversity, equity and inclusion priorities to benefit the entire campus community
Advancing campus-wide diversity, equity and inclusion goals and initiatives through partnerships with campus leaders, academic and administrative units, community members, alumni, donors and other CU Boulder partners
Supporting campus efforts to recruit and retain students, staff and faculty with minoritized identities and their academic, research and professional success
Leading action planning in academic and administrative units to create and sustain a more inclusive campus for CU Boulder students, staff and faculty
Sponsoring and supporting the work of staff and faculty affinity groups and future campus culture surveys as part of a broader, data-informed approach to put diversity, equity and inclusion strategies into action
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Assessment, evaluation, and project management. Assist units and campus partners in operationalizing strategic goals for diversity, equity, and inclusion (e.g., assessment plan creation, data collection and analysis, communication of results), and implementing shared equity leadership (Kezar et al., 2021).
Relationship building and consulting for leadership development (e.g., standing meetings, communications, creating and/or implementing curriculum and models, consensus building).
Sensitive or high-level administrative functions (e.g., project or team lead, writing, planning, editing) needed to support office programs or events and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Research and benchmarking diversity and equity in higher education (e.g., creating annotated bibliographies, standard methodologies, presentations, models, evaluating research, networking with colleagues at other universities); curating research, tools, and resources.
Engage administrative support and perform general office duties; archive and organize; provide leadership within the SVC-DEI office (i.e., onboarding new team members).

After the initial training period, this position offers a hybrid work modality with 1 day per week of remote work. On average, work hours align with traditional business hours with occasional evening and weekend needs and the potential for flexibility.

The annual hiring range for this position is $113,100-$150,000.
Relocation is available for eligible candidates.
