The Senior Manager in the School of Nursing (SON) serves as the operational manager for several key areas in the SON, including Staffing and Building Management, Project Management and Strategic Initiatives, Personnel and Team Support, Space and Resource Management, Event and University Support, and Interdepartmental Collaboration. This is an in-person position, requiring presence in the office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Staffing and Building Management:
Coordinate coverage of 3rd floor reception area
Serve as Building Emergency Coordinator (BEC)
Manage building access codes and Cardinal Card access
Serve as point of contact for building maintenance issues
Coordinate building collaboration spaces
Serve as Expressive Speech Liaison
Project Management and Strategic Initiatives:
Manage key operational projects, including:
Onboarding and offboarding processes
E-signature implementations
Exploring potential database solutions
Develop operational plans supporting strategic goals
Track and report on key performance metrics under the direction of the Dean
Identify opportunities to leverage university systems and resources
Personnel and Team Support:
Participate in leadership team meetings
Assist in orientation of new faculty/staff
Supervise student workers and select staff
Coordinate office preparation for new faculty
Distribute office keys
Serve on AI taskforce
Space and Resource Management:
Coordinate office space allocation and set-up
Maintain master schematic of office space
Complete annual space inventory report
Oversee equipment inventory reporting
Event and University Support:
Coordinate staff coverage for University and School of Nursing events
Collaborate with marketing specialist concerning media coverage
Support faculty with new initiatives
Attend and support events like commencement, convocation, and open house
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Meet with representatives from other university units to discuss common challenges and solutions
Partner to optimize functions and services as well as explore collaborative opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Project management certification. In lieu of the certificate, five years of operations experience in 100+ person organization.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$98,100.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$65,400.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
