Position Description
The Department of Finance in the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions (open rank) to start in August, 2025.



The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate, MBA, and/or doctoral level courses in finance and to perform duties assigned by the Dean of the School of Business Administration and Chair of the Department of Finance. The normal teaching load for a research-active faculty member is 2/2 (6 credit hours each semester, Fall and Spring) with the option to teach summer courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability. A strong record of quality research and teaching is required for tenure.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must have earned a doctorate degree in finance (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion prior to August, 2025) from an AACSB accredited or well-regarded business program. Candidates must have demonstrated research and teaching interests in finance. Candidates should possess a proven track record of original research and/or publication in quality finance journals, and must provide evidence of a strong commitment to scholarship, effective teaching, and service. No candidate will be considered who does not meet the departmental AACSB standards for Scholarly Academics (SA).
