The successful candidate:
Must be able to work Mon-Fri 7:30a-4:00p including rotating call to cover emergency procedures after hours.
Patient Assessment and Communication
Conduct ongoing holistic patient assessments for all imaging modalities.
Inform physicians and healthcare professionals of any changes in patient conditions.
Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on multidisciplinary care plans.
Establish and manage IV and port access.
Collaborate with other clinical departments to ensure cohesive patient care.
Therapeutic Interventions
Plan, deliver, coordinate, and evaluate therapeutic interventions based on patient needs.
Document all provided interventions accurately.
Support Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, and Mammography teams during procedures.
Administer conscious sedation and provide patient follow-up as directed by the Radiologist.
Perform post-procedure anesthesia and sedation recovery as needed.
Patient and Family Education
Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment side effects, health promotion, and post-procedure care.
Offer support and reassurance to ensure informed decisions about therapeutic plans.
Assist in maintaining efficient patient flow through scheduling support.
Compliance and Improvement
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and accrediting agency standards.
Participate in the development, review, and updating of policies and procedures.
Actively engage in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
Medication Reconciliation
Gather allergy information and reconcile medications with patients or family members.
Communicate medication details to other healthcare providers.
Verify and document physician orders.
Administer prescribed medications safely and evaluate their outcomes.
Special Projects and On-Call Duty
Participate in special projects as assigned by the department Director.
Cover on-call duty on a rotational basis.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Current Georgia RN license from an accredited college
BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date
Current BLS
Current ACLS preferred
1-3 years RN experience in a bedside care setting
Oncology and/or Medical Imaging experience preferred
Recent ICU and/or OR experience preferred

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.85 - $54.13 / hour
