Job Summary
The Communication & Marketing department within the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seeking candidates for the position of Digital Marketing Specialist.
This role will serve the college’s online recruitment efforts, as well as serve to assist and enhance the entirety of the college’s digital communication and marketing efforts including, but not limited to, on campus undergraduate and graduate recruiting, development solicitation, corporate relations, research partnerships, underrepresented recruiting and much more.
The Digital Marketing Specialist (DMS) leads the production, development, maintenance, and analysis of data sent through marketing channels and third-party applications/add-ons for the college to support its strategic communication and marketing goals. Works with academic units and teams to support the CRM (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and coordinates strategy and optimization aligned with marketing efforts designed to support faculty, staff, and student recruitment, recognition, development, and engagement.

Essential Functions
Digital Marketing and Strategic Communication Coordination: Provides coordination and creative support to strategic projects on behalf of the college’s units, including overseeing current and future digital marketing and communication efforts from initiation to development, implementation, assessment, and modification where needed. Serves as the primary point of contact for developing key marketing strategies and supporting the creation of associated collateral, including marketing automation processes and campaign management.
Social Media: Manages and operates the college’s social media accounts and paid marketing campaigns to align with the college’s strategic communications and marketing objectives.
Digital Advertising: Manages the college’s digital efforts and campaigns to include Google Ads, email ads, retargeting ads, digital billboards and more
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Degree in Communication, Marketing, Data Management, or related field.
Experience: Five years experience in marketing and communications services.
Substitutions: Indicated education and experience is required; no substitutions allowed.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and email marketing best practices are required. Understanding design processes and resources and creating and refining strategic communications and marketing efforts processes to integrate digital solutions efficiently and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills, project management skills, writing and editing for various media (including digital, media, social), skills developing content for digital platforms, integrated marketing, communication skills, and skills developing assessment tools. Experience with Google AdWords, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram marketing is required.
Minimum Technology Skills
Working knowledge of SQL, AmpScript, JSON and Java script are highly preferred, but not required.
