The Finance Department in The Strome College of Business (SCB) at Old Dominion University invites nominations and applications for Assistant Professor of Finance to begin July 25, 2025 and an annual 10-month appointment.
We seek a candidate with a strong record in research and experience to teach Corporate Finance, both face-to-face and in online formats. Further, the Strome College of Business is committed to the concept that diversity in people and ideas enhances the educational experience in every management program.

Minimum required education and/or special licenses, registrations, trainings, or certifications
Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited university, or international equivalent.
Minimum required level and type of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
The candidate will possess an earned doctorate in Finance by July 25, 2025, from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited university.
Have evidence of a strong interest in conducting high-quality research.
A commitment to providing a quality educational experience to students.
Documented evidence of quality teaching.
