Job Description
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department in the Russ College of Engineering & Technology at Ohio University invites applications for a full-time, benefits eligible, non-tenure faculty position in the area of Construction Management (CM).
The department is currently developing a new construction management undergraduate degree program to supplement the construction management certificate that is currently available. Upon hiring, the faculty is expected to have the following responsibilities: Teach both undergraduate (on-campus) and graduate (on-campus and online) level courses in CM or related areas; advise construction management students in curricular and career matters; collaborate and assist in departmental activities, especially related to student performance data collection for accreditation; develop a strong partnership with the construction industry; support the Construction Estimating Team; and provide leadership to the student chapter of ASCE on matters related to CM.
The successful candidate will be hired at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Expected start date for this position will be fall semester of 2025.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or construction management (or other closely associated discipline fields) by the start date of appointment and a minimum of 5 years of construction field experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to those with prior teaching experience and a background managing construction projects.
