The StarRez System Manager for Housing and Residence Life is responsible for assisting with all aspects of management of the StarRez Housing Management system including the back-end testing and development of housing contract and lease processes, interim and break housing processes, returner self-selection, room profiling, data cleaning, and the extraction of data. This position will also assist with a comprehensive review of the system including reviewing, eliminating, and/or rewriting of a variety of data subs, custom fields, and reports. This position will assist with the testing of upgrades and patches and documentation of all aspects of the system. This position is for one-year with a possibility of extending another year. This can be a fully remote position from anywhere in the United States.

Job Function:

The StarRez System Manager for Housing and Residence Life is responsible for assisting with all aspects of management of the StarRez Housing Management system including the back-end testing and development of housing contract and lease processes, interim and break housing processes, returner self-selection, room profiling, data cleaning, and the extraction of data. Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.

Preferred Education:

Master's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

3-years experience with system configuration experience with the StarRez Housing Management system. Significant experience with SQL or StarQL is required. Experience supporting and troubleshooting computer systems including system integrations.

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with SIS products such as Banner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT development for web-based processes in Housing and Residence Life, including housing applications, contracting and leasing processes, conference contracts and workflows, interim housing, orientation housing, summer housing processes, student billing, and other housing management system processes and integrations as needed. Build, maintain, and troubleshoot web-based processes in the student-facing housing portal.
  • Collaborate on StarRez work order integration with TMA including testing, updating, and troubleshooting.
  • Support University Apartment staff with back-end processes, reporting, and troubleshooting of client set-up and bookings.
  • Develop documentation for web-based processes in Housing and Residence Life.
  • Develop training materials for web-based processes for multiple levels of staff in Housing and Residence Life including student staff, administrative staff, professional staff, service staff (Custodial and Maintenance staff).
  • Collaborate with campus partners and/or vendor to maintain and troubleshoot system integrations for building access, meal plan loads, and demographic loads

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
