Job Summary
This position supports programming to promote the advancement of the fields of animal sciences, veterinary sciences, veterinary medicine, and related areas.
Essential Job Duties
Assist the project team with carrying out day-to-day project activities (i.e. data collection, management, and analysis)
Provide administrative and logistical assistance, such as answering phones, scheduling, web-conferencing [Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or equivalent], and processing financial/procurement documents in accordance with the Tuskegee University policies
Assist with the preparation and implement project activities
Perform minor tasks associated with the project reporting
Work with project leads in carrying out experiential learning associated with the project
Assist in preparing the facilities for workshops and field days related to the project
Assist in collecting and maintaining project records
Participate in CAENS activities
Manage the daily operations of the programs identified by supervisor
Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office products such as Word, excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
Assist in meeting preparation for the team
Coordinate all travel arrangements for participants, faculty, staff, and guest speakers.
Manage the administrative needs of the experiential/service-learning activities.
Take and prepare minutes for meetings
Provide administrative support for programs as directed by supervisor
Maintain files and database for replotting and tracking of activities.
Perform other relevant activities or duties as directed by the supervisor.
Inventory and requisitions supplies for assigned area as well as checks in shipments and restocks shelves/supply areas.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
Minimum High School Diploma or GED and 7 or more years of experience
Associate degree/Certificate from a trade school (or equivalent) and 3 or more years of experience

The experience requires two years or more providing administrative and or logistical assistance

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree preferred

Physical Demands
Job frequently requires some walking, standing, sitting, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.

Skills and Attributes
Ability and experience to operate office equipment, including but not limited to phones, copy/fax machines, etc.
Ability to communicate with clients and provide leadership at the unit
Experience in student recruitment and career preparation is a plus.
This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
