Job Summary
The School of Teacher Education and Leadership at Radford University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in elementary inclusive education with primary responsibilities for teaching and field supervision in the undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program to begin August 2025. The dual-licensure program is grounded in a model of inclusive practice, collaboration, and co-teaching with special educators. The position is for a tenure-track, 9-month faculty appointment in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership with the opportunity for supplemental summer teaching. Local residency is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in campus-based, hybrid, and online formats as determined by need. Courses will support the traditional, campus-based program and the newly developed apprenticeship program. The successful candidate will also supervise field placements; engage in scholarship, and provide service to the School, College, and University.

Physical Demands
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree from an accredited university in education by the contract start date
Hold a teaching endorsement in elementary education
At least 3 years of public-school teaching experience
Have expertise needed to teach courses with particular emphasis in STEM-based instruction, methods for teaching elementary science and/or mathematics, instructional design & assessment, and field-based seminars
Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusiveness through culturally relevant practice.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional desirable qualifications include:
Experience teaching at the collegiate level
Experience supporting teacher candidates in preK-6 field settings
Experience with co-teaching
A background with dual licensure programs
A background supporting diverse student populations

A doctoral degree from an accredited university in education by the contract start date and at least 3 years of public-school teaching experience
