Job Summary
The Admissions Counselor will represent Augusta University at programs and events on and off campus for the purpose of recruiting students to the University. The person in this role will coordinate recruitment-based projects and activities. This position serves as the lead recruitment territory manager for the southern CSRA and Coastal Savannah recruitment territories. Provides support for Dual Enrollment and International Admissions. This position supports the enrollment efforts of campus by traveling to targeted territories to provide institutional and admissions information to prospective and newly admitted students. This position represents the university at onsite events and campus tours.
Responsibilities
The duties include but are not limited to:
RECRUITMENT EVENTS: Represent AU at events and programs for the purpose of recruiting students to the university in designated recruitment territory.
COMMUNICATION: Communicate with prospective students, parents, and community through appointment, telephone, email, and other methods.
AUDIT & RESEARCH: Audit student data and conduct statistical research to target population for recruitment and analyze recruitment effectiveness.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provide excellent customer service.
ON-CAMPUS RECRUITMENT: Assist with on campus recruitment.
INTERNATIONAL ADMISSIONS: Coordinate international admissions of undergraduate students.
RECRUITMENT: Coordinate various initiatives and programs within the office of Academic Admissions for the purpose of recruiting students.
DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAM: Assist with the dual enrollment program for students within recruitment territory.
DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATION: Facilitate communication and outreach with campus departments.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education; Knowledge in Microsoft applications and in Banner or CRM.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
SKILLS
Strong customer service, with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Reliable means of transportation and memory for detail
Ability to cover travel cost with reimbursement after the fact
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to all
Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently Ability to travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days, Monday - Friday
Pay Band: B7
Salary: $20.29/hr - $22.50/hr
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
