Marshall University (School of Medicine) seeks an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology to provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with known or suspected gastroenterological disorders in ambulatory practice at School of Medicine affiliated clinic locations and for inpatients at affiliated hospitals as assigned on a rotational basis. The position is peripatetic in nature and may require travel on an “as needed” basis. Position will participate in after-hours on call coverage rotations, participate in clinical practice/teaching opportunities with medical students and residents, and initiate and complete clinical research with medical students and residents as part of their scholarly activities.

Salary Range Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Required Qualifications
Education
Medical degree or foreign equivalent.
Experience
Must have completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology.
Must be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
Must have a full and unrestricted West Virginia medical license at time of employment.
