Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
This position prefers a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with three years of experience. It is preferable that the degree be in public health, medicine, disaster sciences, or other discipline related to disasters.
Position Summary
The position serves as a logistics coordinator for in-office and field activities in the development and execution of critical, urgent, complex, and high-level disaster preparedness projects. The position will accurately define, explain, and interpret matters of emergency management/disaster planning, reporting, and assistance when communication with stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Ability to interface with clients; Ability to manage multiple projects including: setting and meeting project timelines/goals, monitoring, evaluating, and production of final products.
Ability to produce high-quality printed training materials;
Ability to manage complete registration and data-collection processes;
Willingness to obtain profession-specific certifications;
Working knowledge of NIMS and Incident Command System.
Physical Demands
Work at a computer work station for eight hours per day at times.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Drive up to eight hours per day on occasion.
