Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive candidate to support the accounting department by verifying figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial processes, including invoicing, tracking payments, and ensuring compliance while maintaining organizational accuracy. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Reconcile daily deposits, cash reports, and receipts to ensure accuracy.
  • Accurately post data to accounting software and maintain organized records.
  • Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements as required.
  • Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, confirming accurate pricing and extensions.
  • Handle inquiries and questions from vendors or departments professionally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental needs.
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma, GED, or a combination of education and at least one year of relevant experience.• Excellent organizational skills, with strong oral and written communication abilities.• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel (or comparable software).• Familiarity with accounting software and meticulous attention to detail.• Ability to adhere to confidentiality guidelines and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
