About this Opportunity
The School of Nursing welcomes applications for anAssistant or Associate Professor of Nursing, beginning August 2025. This opportunity is for an in-person, on-site, on-campus, Muncie-based, tenure-line faculty position. This is not an exclusively online teaching opportunity.

Description
Full-time, Muncie campus-based tenure-line faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Teaching assignments and locations vary. Rank and salary dependent on qualification. This is not a remote position.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Earned baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
2. Earned master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
3. Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
4. Clinical nursing experience in area of assigned teaching.
5. Six months of nursing practice experience in the U.S.
6. Ability to meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
7. Ability to learn and use new technologies, software, and platforms.
Authorization to work in the US Employer will consider sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
1. At least one semester (four months) of teaching experience in higher education, either gained concurrently or at any time.
2. Ability to integrate technology in nursing education.
3. Current clinical practice as an NP and national board certification.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and/or maintain a program of research.
Required Certifications/Licensures
Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States, with Indiana RN license (or endorsement) obtained by date of appointment.
Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check.
