Summary

Pedi-newborn's Manager, Clinical Research will serve as the leader of Neonatology's clinical research infrastructureincluding people management (including staff coverage), clinical trial and protocol coordination/management, and ensuring compliance with federal and institutional guidelines. The division currently has four Principal Investigators with active clinical research efforts.

This position has the potential to expand the division's clinical research team under the direction of the Chief of Neonatology's strategic plan. Experience in clinical research is paramount, and a licensed RN is ideal in providing subject consent and sample collection coverage/oversite/training.

Job Duties

  • Clinical research team management/schedule/coverage management
  • Active review of data collection and compliance per trial protocol
  • May assist with subject donor collection/consent (collecting samples, consenting with families)
  • Participates in training and providing guidance to research personnel
  • Maintains patient charts and medical records
  • Monitors and schedules weekly sample collection - ensures data is timely captured
  • Approves supply inventory and ordering for clinical trials
  • May assist or collaborate with PI on the development of clinical trials
  • Leads team of clinical research personnel
  • Determines staffing needs with PI in alignment with grant budget
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in nursing preferred, but not required.
  • Four years of related experience.
  • License as a registered nurse preferred, but not required.
