DSU is seeking an innovative and experienced leader to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Digital Content Creation. This interdisciplinary degree integrates multimedia content creation across digital platforms, such as social media, apps, and traditional media, with cutting-edge technology. The successful candidate will help shape this new and exciting program, working closely with faculty in English, Marketing, Digital Arts, and other departments to deliver a forward-thinking curriculum. The successful candidate will also teach composition courses. This is a 4/4 teaching load with opportunities for faculty research and creative projects that explore emerging trends in digital media.

Digital Content Creation is a new program at DSU, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape the major and its curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and teach undergraduate courses that integrate content creation skills such as video production, audio design, web development, and visual storytelling.
Guide students in creating and managing digital content strategies and campaigns for social media, mobile, and web platforms.
Mentor students in both technical skills and professional development, preparing them for careers as content creators, digital strategists, and social media specialists.
Conduct and publish research related to emerging trends in digital media and content creation.
Teach composition courses

Required Qualifications:
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or MFA) in English, Digital Storytelling, or a related field.
Potential for or experience with digital content creation technologies, including industry-standard software for multimedia production.
Potential for or experience teaching college composition.
A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital storytelling, content management, and social media strategies​.

Preferred Qualifications:
Potential for or experience integrating technology into teaching.
Knowledge of digital and AI-assisted writing.
