College/Department Information
Leap Early Learning Partners is a Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) of Augusta University. CCR&R's work hand-in-hand with families, early learning professionals, and advocates to ensure that children grow and learn in safe, high quality early learning environments. In addition to our advocacy efforts, Leap provides direct services to child care programs in a 23-county service area throughout Central East Georgia.
Our team has more than 600 years of collective experience in the field of early childhood. We are former owners, directors, social service managers, early learning professors, recreation therapists, teachers and more, and we share a vision for great early learning experiences for children, families, and professionals. We are thankful that we can bring our individual passions, experiences, skills, and training together to carry out that vision.
We are funded, in part, by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning through the Federal Child Care Development Block Grant.
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating/scheduling training events to ensure that all training deliverables are met, and the region is adequately covered. Will also provide direct support to other team members regarding the provision of training within the region. Other core duties include long-term planning related to training and provider needs, maintaining accurate documentation for monthly and annual reporting, and developing/ maintaining relationships with partners; performance of administrative duties related to training.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate CCR&R Professional Development: With input from Professional Development team, coordinate training offered by the CCR&R to ensure all program deliverables and goals related to the provision of training are met. Coordinates logistics related to quarterly training schedule, and other training scheduled as needed.
Provide Leadership On Professional Development Resources: Provide leadership on development and curation of targeted resources for professional development objectives. This includes reviewing, identifying, and summarizing available PD resources and assisting the training team in development and delivery of high-quality PD resources (website entries, flyers, training tools, etc.).
Collaborate with Regional Partners: Develop relationships with regional partners to recruit/maintain training venue options and contracted trainers, as necessary, to schedule training in the designated service area. Provide support as necessary.
Interact/Assist Providers: Provide phone and in-person technical assistance/PD support to current and potential child care providers as needed. Link providers with other community resources and mentors. Encourage providers to further their education. Discusses incentives, benefits financial programs available, and the application process.
Execute Professional Development Team Plans: Execute PD Team plans and TA needs to ensure appropriate and adequate training is available to providers in our service delivery area. Included in this is assisting with virtual training delivery as training host, moderator and technical support.
Prepare Quarterly Training Calendar: Prepare quarterly training calendar for distribution. Assist with update and maintenance of agency website.
Maintain Data: Maintain up-to-date training data for monthly reporting.
Provide Leadership on Professional Development Support Tasks: Provide leadership on the following: collection of payments, training materials, and support tasks for CCR&R trainers related to the provision of training.
Support Trainers: Assist trainers, as needed, to ensure GaPDS documentation is complete and current.
Other: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Family and Consumer Sciences, or related field and some experience working with groups of young children in a professional setting (including lab schools and structured volunteer programs). Must have strong communication skills (spoken, writing) and be adept at communicating with various audiences of professionals. Must have strong technical skills to provide IT support to CCR&R staff and early learning professionals. Ability to research and develop professional development resources is essential. May be required to work evenings/weekends occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of CCR&R; Familiar with GA Training Approval requirements and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Must be proficient in identification, understanding and communication of best practices in early childhood development and education. Proficient in using various technology tools and systems, including but not limited to virtual learning, Adobe Creative Software, Microsoft Office (intermediate/advanced level knowledge), and other computer software/databases. Knowledge of early childhood education, Quality Rated, ERS scales and other tools used by BFTS & CCR&R, and GA PDS are highly desired.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented. Strong planning and data analysis skills
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be proficient in communicating effectively and creatively with various audiences, in writing and verbally. Must be able to coordinate events. Ability to work in a team environment with different groups.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required).
Salary Minimum: $20.29 hourly.
Pay Band: B7
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
