Job Summary

Provide administrative and operational support to the Associate Dean of Research as it relates to pre and post award activities. Provides administrative support to the CAHS Research Council. Coordination and support of annual CAHS Research Retreat.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
PRE-AWARD DUTIES: Assist in identifying funding opportunities. Coordinate and prepare grant applications for submission to include budget preparation, verification of all requirements, and approval routing. Ensure all policies are followed. Serve as a liaison between faculty, SPA and CAHS administration for all sponsored projects. Prepare reporting of grant submission and awards for the Associate Dean of Research.
POST AWARD DUTIES: Communicate with CAHS Administration and Department Office Coordinators regarding new awards ensuring personnel effort changes are submitted. Prepare and submit personnel and non-personnel cost transfers to CAHS Administration for review and approval. Prepare and maintain monthly reporting for all active projects. Monitor renewals, no-cost extensions, and expiring projects. Communication with CAHS Administration and Department Office Coordinators regarding any changes. Monitor compliance regulations regarding use of funds. Maintain timeline for annual progress reports coordinating with project PI ensuring submissions deadlines are met. Initiate appropriate purchasing instruments for research equipment, shipment, and supplies. Track status of lab purchases and shipments. Preparation of monthly reconciliations for all funded projects. Responsible for review and completion of quarterly effort certification. Request building access for research personnel. Other duties as assigned relating to pre and post award support.

OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or related field with two years of experience in business, finance, accounting, or other related field. Two years of experience preparing and reviewing funding proposals.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pre and post award support; knowledge of AU operational process and systems such as InfoEd.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B9
Salary: Minimum $48,800
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
