Job Summary
This position is responsible for front line customer service and to provide assistance to students and departments to include data entry and form processing.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Main point of contact for the Registrar's Office; Greets all incoming visitors; Answers and routes phone calls appropriately; Answers general questions regarding registration, graduation, and transcript requests; Directs students, faculty, and staff to the appropriate resources for course and student records.
REGISTRAR EMAIL: Respond to email inquiries in the Registrar email resource account; Forward emails to the appropriate staff, office, or department; Responsible for maintaining the filling system in the Registrar email account.
DOCUMENTS: Process incoming documents, including name changes, medical evaluation verification forms (board forms), transient forms, etc.
AUDITING: Audit catalog degree requirements with those in the degree audit system and assist the graduation team with any degree audit research and reconciliation.
OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with three (3) years of relevant work experience.
OR
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with six (6) years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate knowledge of computers and office equipment; Preferably skilled in Microsoft Excel; Experience in customer service and/or records management.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/ databases.
Knowledge of Augusta University policies and procedures.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and customer service skills.
ABILITY
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to explain policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain student records on Banner.
Ability to concentrate on student data for long periods of time.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday-Friday
Pay Band: B6
Salary: $18.85/hr - $20.72/hr
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
