The Department Coordinator II provides administrative and operational support to the Cancer Center Research programs within the Brown Cancer Center research area.
Essential duties:
Processes orders for laboratory and office supplies for principle investigators and their research staff; negotiates with vendors and employees to obtain appropriate pricing, adheres to the University's contract policies, and provides specific delivery instructions/timelines.
Manages procurement cards for the research programs, but is not limited to, monitoring of daily expenditures for appropriateness of charges, reallocation of charges as necessary based on University guidelines and complete and upload receipts into OnBase and collaborates with financial coordinators for monthly reconciliation of University accounts related to operating expenditures; maintains paper documentation of all purchases on procurement cards; investigates charges that are unsubstantiated with paper documentation with users and/or vendors to ascertain validity of transactions.
Prepares and submits appropriate travel documents for investigators and their staff and arranges travel utilizing the Anthony Travel system.
Coordinates meetings at the direction of the investigator for a variety of working groups within the scientific arena which includes, but is not limited to, purchasing airfare and making overnight accommodations for external speaker, preparing itineraries for external speakers, and organization of special guest seminars.
Assists in preparing packages for shipment to domestic and international destinations, processes shipping labels and all other required shipping documents and labels, coordinates package pick-up.
Processes a variety of University forms and miniforms such as JV's, payment requests, and travel expense reports. Prepares correspondence as requested by investigators and maintains files for investigators and Business Office in an organized manner.
Provides administrative support to other programs within the Cancer Center as needed such as payment of invoices for FedEx, the Resource Center, Facilities billing/invoicing and the Business Office.
Assists with the adherence to the University’s policies and procedures related to procurement and grants management.
Provides support to other Administrative staff during periods of absence.

$24.77Target Compensation Minimum:
