Assistant or Associate Professor of Management Information Systems (Ranked Renewable Term)
Job Description
The MIS Division of the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma (OU), invites applications for a full-time Ranked Renewable Term Assistant or Associate Professor of MIS. Depending upon experience and qualifications, the appointment may be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Initial appointments are for three years and ranked renewable term faculty who meet the appropriate qualification requirements may be eligible for promotion in rank. RRT Faculty are expected to cover 3 to 4 courses per semester, be active in research and perform assigned administrative duties. Preferred applicants will have experience covering courses in cyber-security, artificial intelligence, ERP systems, and data analytics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The appointment is expected to start in the Fall of 2025. Our strong programs in the MIS division build on a history of excellence, distinguished faculty members, and an active industry partnership. The division offers an undergraduate major and minor in MIS, graduate in-person and online programs focused on Business Analytics, and a PhD degree. It operates the Center for MIS Studies (CMISS), an industry-academic partnership, through which faculty and business partners collaborate on research and curriculum development. The division has an active MIS Student Association, provides sizable student scholarships annually, and enjoys strong support from the university and industry partners. Faculty members are world-renowned, engaged in thriving research programs, generate external research funding, hold leadership positions in leading journals and conferences, and are outstanding teachers. Candidates must have earned a PhD in MIS or related disciplines. Desirable qualifications include an established record of excellence in teaching and the ability to conduct and publish articles in peer-reviewed journals. Preference will be given to applicants whose teaching and research capabilities align well with the division’s needs. Salary is competitive and will depend upon qualifications.
