Essential Job Duties
The candidate will support NC State Dining marketing, communication and outreach efforts to the university and community constituents by demonstrating the department’s values through targeted print and digital communication and engagement opportunities. Communication and marketing efforts are critical for attracting and retaining satisfied customers and contributing to the overall campus experience.

Description of Key Responsibilities and Related Competencies:
Assist NC State Dining Marketing Manager in developing and executing marketing and communication strategies to meet specific goals and objectives related to meal plans (sales and program details/features), promotions of locations and menus, special events, and other outreach activities.
Manage the distribution of marketing materials and messaging according to established timelines, including social media, digital screens, e-newsletters, and web content updates.
Coordinate activations sponsored by Coca-Cola and other partner vendors.
Coordinate the department’s presence at tabling events for prospective and new students, including displays, giveaways, and staffing.
Lead the student content creator program: recruit, train, assign, and approve content to support the marketing strategy. Consult on the creative and innovative use of equipment, techniques, and visual arts methods to ensure high-quality content is produced. Also responsible for guiding, coaching and providing constructive feedback and, if necessary, termination.
Follow university brand and trademark guidelines and ensure they are properly used. Ensure materials are written concisely and effectively according to university brand standards, and proofread for accuracy and spelling.
Provide production assistance to the graphic designer, interfacing with printers and ensuring that print materials are received according to specifications. Address outstanding issues, including reprints or cost reductions, to resolve any situations.
Maintain the storage closet to ensure materials and promotional items are neatly stored and easily accessible.

Be an ambassador for NC State Dining and the university as a whole to enrich the quality of life for the campus community and support student success.
Adhere to all University policies, procedures, and regulations, and Division standard operating practices and protocols.
May be required to drive a state vehicle to deliver materials for events to locations across campus.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure Campus Enterprises’ business needs are met.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Other Required Qualifications
Ability to plan, write, edit and produce quality content for defined audiences.
Ability to learn and synthesize information and convey it effectively.
Experience following brand and AP style guidelines.
Ability to plan and coordinate small-scale events or activations.
Ability to manage and prioritize projects and deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to create social media content for the 18-22 demographic, with an emphasis on Instagram stories and reels.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional and/or internship experience relevant to the requirements for the position.
Experiential marketing experience is preferred but not required.
