Working with the Physics business team in the College of Arts & Science offers a unique opportunity to ensure the smooth operations of financial and business systems. You'll play a crucial role in accounting, payroll, and reporting, directly contributing to the success of the department. You'll build relationships across departments and foster informed financial decisions. In this collaborative environment, you'll work with others happy to support your growth and the satisfaction of knowing your work helps shape A&S.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Assist faculty with reimbursement requests, major purchases, contracts, and other financial transactions via the A&S accounts payable center
Assist with department timekeeping
Process payroll for department hires and track changes
Assist with payroll reconciliation reports
Assist with financial reporting - ensure automated financial reports are sent to faculty every month (faculty professional development funds, faculty start-up, internal awards, endowment/gift funds as needed)
Account reconciliation - complete checklists for all department funds and monitor for errors
Process correcting entries including payroll corrections
Shift
8-hours/day, Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $16.72 to $22.91

Grade: GGS 007
