Job Description
Job Summary:
The Office of Informatics and Information Technology is looking for an outstanding Cloud Engineer to contribute to their growing Azure Platform and support its infrastructure growth. This position will report to the Application Development Manager. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, modification, and configuration of existing open-source software tools to improve access to data. The Cloud Engineer will also be responsible for introducing processes, tools, and methodologies which supports the needs of the software development lifecycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates. The incumbent will demonstrate their experience as a seasoned Cloud Engineer by implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery of pipelines through various tools such as Terraform and Ansible. As a key member of the integrated application development team, the role of the Cloud Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting issues that arise, configuring logging & alerting mechanisms, and engineering solutions for complex infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic and bring an enthusiastic and professional attitude to the workplace.

Qualifications:
Required:
- 2 years of professional work experience as a DevOps Engineer
- 2 years of cloud infrastructure development or work
- 2 years of professional work experience developing software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- 2 years of object-orientated development experience
- 1 year of experience with Azure and Azure App Service
- 1 year of experience with Terraform
- 1 year of configuration management such as Ansible
- Knowledge of Jira Atlassian Tools
- Knowledge of GitLab Tools
- 2 years of Agile or iterative work planning
- Proficiency in docker/containerizing applications
Work Type:

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary:
Minimum $100,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

The starting salary for the DevOps Engineer I is $100,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
