Summary

Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting a full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist. The neuropsychologist will be a full-time faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) with a primary clinical appointment in the Division of Pediatric Psychology at The Children's Hospital of San Antonio.

Job Duties

  • Conducting outpatient consultations and neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric patients. Primary focus will be with Epilepsy and Epilepsy surgery, but will also include referrals from Hematology/Oncology, Rehabilitation and Physical medicine, Genetics, Neurology, General Pediatrics, and other subspecialties.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary teams and academic/clinical/administrative committees
  • Building clinical and research programs in collaboration with other specialties
  • Engaging in advocacy efforts in the community
  • Supervising and teaching pediatric residents, psychology fellow and graduate students
  • Engaging in research with pediatric specialty providers

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Doctoral Degree from a Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology APA or CPA accredited program with a specialization in neuropsychology
  • Completed an APA-accredited psychology internship
  • Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology that complies with the training guidelines of APA Division 40
  • Licensed or immediately license-eligible in Texas
  • Highly motivated to engage in faculty activities at a major academic medical center

Preferred:

  • Additional training and experiences with Epilepsy and Epilepsy surgery patients
  • Additional training and experience with Neurodevelopmental disorders/disabilities
  • Bilingual
  • Board certification or eligibility
