Job Description Summary:

With little or no direct supervision, provides very complex specialized services and support to department, office, or program.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

  • Assists with the organization, preparation, and implementation of registration events, both in- person and remote.

  • Assists with training of AE Staff and Faculty on application and registration tools, software and departmental procedures.

  • Assists with the registration and advising of students into adult education courses.

  • Assists enrollment and front desk staff as needed.

  • Has sufficient skills and manages updates on virtual platforms used for enrollment, including Blackboard Collaborate and Zoom.

  • Exhibits efficiency in troubleshooting issues in computer-based assessments and the software and hardware required for the assessments used.

  • Assists students with the AE student enrollment application process.

  • Responds to the needs and inquiries of users related to IT issues around assessment and the enrollment application, deploys solutions, and follows up with users.

  • Provides student support via phone, email, livechat, and virtual and in-person meetings

  • Maintains departmental social media accounts and organizes social media campaigns for audience engagement

  • Assists with special projects.

Knowledge

  • Student enrollment and registration techniques and practices.

  • Salesforce, learning management systems, Google Suite, spreadsheets

  • Adult Education Class offerings including ESL, HSE, Career Pathways, and College Prep

Skills

  • Maintaining an established work schedule.

  • Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.

  • Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

  • Hardware, software, and peripheral equipment troubleshooting techniques.

  • Providing excellent customer service with a student-centered attitude

Technology Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications and student information and database systems.

  • Google Suite and spreadsheets

  • Salesforce

  • Virtual Conferencing Tools such as Blackboard Collaborate, Google Meet, and Zoom

Required Work Experience

  • As required.

Preferred Work Experience

  • Student advising and/or registration

Required Education

  • High school diploma or educational equivalent.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.

  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.
