Position Description:

We are looking for interested individuals to portray sexual assault survivors to train law enforcement in trauma-informed interviewing. Individuals will follow a script as they simulate interviews and encounters with actual police investigators. We seek individuals interested in learning and adapting, people who are excellent listeners and can focus on the educational goals of the session. We are looking for candidates that have strong recall skills and a desire to enhance student learning. A flexible schedule, reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are all required as well.

Our ideal candidate can portray a female sexual assault survivor between the ages of 18 – 25.

Required Qualifications:

  • Reliability and punctuality

  • Occasional availability on weekdays

  • Excellent recall and memorization ability

  • Ability to work with others in a respectful manner

  • Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with learners, faculty, police officers, and administrators

  • Be of legal status to work in the U.S.

  • Be comfortable discussing and simulating the remembrance of sexual assault several times in one day

  • Willing to be videotaped or otherwise recorded

Recommended Qualifications

  • Previous acting/performance experience

  • Experience in giving feedback in an honest, respectful manner

  • Commitment to the education of police officers

Work Schedule

  • Paid one-day training

    Full day events once or twice a month.

Pay Scale

$30/hour
