Position Description:

The School of Dentistry is seeking a Temporary Dental Receptionist to work front office at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry - Goodwill Opportunity Campus Dental Practice located at 2820 West Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202. This temporary position Full Time position and will not exceed 6 months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with faculty, peers, and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care.

  • As the first point-of-contact with the patient, this position checks patients in daily, confirming their contact information, current insurance, and consent forms, and registering new patients when needed.

  • Verifies insurance and details benefit coverage for patients when appropriate.

  • Conducts financial transactions, accepts and posts payments, issues receipts, and balances cash drawer at end of day.

  • Creates, reviews, and manages payment plans with patients.

  • Answers the phone in a timely and professional manner, managing a multi-line system.

  • Schedules patient appointments as necessary.

  • Maintains HIPAA, OSHA and Infection Control compliance at all times.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Target Compensation Maximum: $22.51

Target Compensation Minimum: $15.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
