Job Description
The Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible, tenure track assistant/associate/full professor position in electrical engineering/ computer engineering. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field by start date of appointment.

The selected applicant will be expected to perform excellent research, teaching, and service in electrical or computer engineering. Departmental support will include initial reduced teaching loads, competitive salary and generous start-up funds.

Appointments at all levels (i.e., Assistant, Associate, and Professor) will be considered., but special consideration will be given to candidates with a record of high-quality research and scholarship in the primary focus areas of electronic communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) systems: GNSS/GPS/PNT; inertial navigation; integrated CNS systems; autonomous vehicles; UAS/UAV/drone applications.

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University and offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. At present there are roughly 450 undergraduate students, 125 master’s students and 40 PhD students in EECS. The School of EECS employs 22 full-time tenured, tenure-track and instructional faculty. New sponsored research awards in the School of EECS have averaged roughly $4M per year over the last five years, and numerous research collaboration opportunities exist within the School’s Avionics Engineering Center and Center for Scientific Computing and Immersive Technologies (CSCIT).

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a closely related field by the start date of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an ABET accredited program.
