The Department of Humanities at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUC-CC) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History in Mexican American or U.S. Latinx history beginning fall 2025. All subspecialties will receive full consideration.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach US survey courses as part of the 3/3 teaching load, along with upper-level undergraduate courses and courses in our History M.A. program in general Mexican American history and the candidate’s subfields of specialization every year. The position is a joint appointment with the Mexican American Studies minor.

Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in History or related field. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred by the time of appointment.
Specialization in Mexican American/U.S. Latinx history
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching one or both halves of the U.S. history survey
