Overview:

The Medical School is seeking a creative and results-oriented communications specialist to support our communications and marketing strategy. In this collaborative role, you will work closely with marketing and communications team members and serve as a key liaison for various partners on communications and branding projects. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent messaging across the Medical School—from leadership to operational communications—and for the proper application of the University of Minnesota brand. Your role will utilize your broad knowledge and experience in marketing, communications, and brand strategy.

Looking for someone who has:

Strong writing, editing, and content development skills, with the ability to translate complex information into accessible content.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Support overall marketing strategy and campaign development as needed
Experience building complex communications strategies toward a multitude of audiences and translating insight into communications plans
Experience building email newsletters and landing pages
Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordinating and creating editorial content.
Overseeing the Annual Report.
Managing Asana project requests.
Support newsletter development and distribution.
Builds and supports a clear understanding of the strategies, opportunities and challenges in areas of focus.
Ability to address issues quickly with a positive solution-oriented mindset.
Develop positioning, identify target audiences, and marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

BA/BS degree plus six years of experience.
