Position Description:

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine is seeking an Associate Professor Term (open rank) specializing in invasive/interventional cardiology and non-invasive testing. As an interventional cardiologist, your role will be to engage in all three missions of academic medicine - teaching, research, and patient care. A successful candidate will be expected to train cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students and provide them with a thorough understanding of the cardiovascular system and interventional cardiology. A successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate with research on clinical trials to ensure that the cardiology fellows are engaged in the clinical trial research arena. The candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular medicine with advanced training in interventional cardiology and hold a valid Kentucky medical license. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
