Job Summary:
Works as part of the patient care team to support efficient clinic flow and to ensure the needs of the students are met. Supports the work of providers and nurses in the clinic. Primary focus of this role will be in gynecology and sexual health, with the potential to assist in primary care and/or community health depending on clinic demands.

In this position, you will:
-Perform routine vital signs, basic tests.
-Assist with minor procedures, and administers medications as directed by a supervising clinician.
-Chaperone sensitive exams and procedures.
-Collect, prepare, and deliver specimens for laboratory analysis.
-Prepare and clean examination rooms, instruments, and equipment for specific procedures.
-Deliver orders and inventories equipment and supplies as directed, and escort patients to various
clinic locations.
-Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records and answering basic medical questions.
-Participate in the education of peers and learners

Responsibilities:
Collects vital signs, patient history, and specimens; and performs basic laboratory tests and administers injections and medications under supervising clinician direction to ensure the proper care of patients. Prepares examination rooms and equipment and performs administrative duties. Works collaboratively with other medical staff.

5% Collects, prepares, and delivers specimens for laboratory analysis
15% Prepares and cleans examination rooms, instruments, and equipment for specific procedures
5% Escorts patients to various hospital locations and delivers, orders, and inventories general clinic supplies
5% Performs administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, assisting patients with billing, and coding information and answering basic medical questions
