The Temporary RTL Coordinator will collaborate with key partners on the south side of Muncie to address critical early education needs of underserved children and families through playful, engaging and effective learning opportunities

CPB-PBS Ready To Learn Initiative, to help young learners develop science inquiry and informational text literacy skills that can help them succeed in school and in life. Also work with parents/caregivers and educators to give them additional skills to support these young learners at home and in the classroom.

Job Function:

Also work with parents/caregivers and educators to give them additional skills to support these young learners at home and in the classroom.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or equivalent, or qualifying experience.

Minimum Experience:

Preference will be given to applicants with 2 years of experience in early childhood education or elementary education.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all materials needed for each workshop and camp and conduct and or oversee all workshops and camps at various locations in our target area.
  • Organize and lead training’s for additional facilitators who will be conducting workshops and camps in our target area.
  • Assist the Community Engagement and Grants Manager with successfully fulfilling all deliverables required for the project.
  • Attend neighborhood meetings and other events to distribute information about the project. Encourage early childhood educators to observe or volunteer with the project. Increase awareness about the educational resources.
  • Attend webinars, workshops and meetings required for the administration of the Ready To Learn initiative.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
