Job Description

The Employee Experience Manager is responsible for creating "wow" experiences for employees and future employee candidates through the execution of processes and programs established by the Office for People and Culture. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, whose intrinsic purpose is to build a sense of community, connection, and a tireless focus on delivering unique, magical, and memorable experiences that aligns with Ball State University’s highly engaged culture.

Job Function:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience:

2 years of experience in Human Resources, customer service, event coordination, or related field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement creative and effective employee engagement programs and initiatives that align with Ball State University’s values and goals. These initiatives may include recognition programs, team-building activities, physical wellness initiatives, life/work integration, and opportunities for employee feedback and participations.
Employee Recognition: Implement a comprehensive employee recognition program to acknowledge outstanding performance, dedication, and achievements and acknowledge employee birthdays and work anniversaries. Ensure that employees’ efforts are celebrated and appreciated throughout Ball State University.
Events and Activities: Plan and coordinate employee engagement events, including holiday celebrations, and national health organization participation, and other social gatherings that promote a sense of camaraderie, community, and teamwork.
Work with People and Culture partners to develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention.
Collaborate with various partners on additional awards (i.e., A. Jane Morton, Women of Ball Foundation, Meritorious Awards, Years of Service, etc.). Develop honorarium for Executive and Professional Employee of the Year.
Help the Senior Administrative Specialist with coordinating non-academic emeritus and retirement biographies on behalf of the Vice President of Business Affairs and Associate Vice President for People and Culture.
Establish relationships with new vendors, while also fostering and maintaining relationships with existing ones.
Work with the Employee Solution Center to support our end-of-life protocol for current and former (retired) employees.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
