The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CJC) of Ball State University invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor beginning August 2024 or January 2025. The successful candidate will primarily teach courses pertaining to criminal justice and criminology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Instruct courses in policing, corrections, courts, and/or forensic science. The standard teaching load is four courses per semester, which may include online courses as needed.

Minimum Experience:
A Master’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, or related field from an accredited college or university by date of appointment.
Preferred Experience:
A PhD, juris doctorate, or Master’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, or related field from an accredited college or university by date of appointment. Teaching experience at the College or University level. Professional experience in the criminal investigations/forensic science field.
