• Primary Location: OU-Tulsa Schusterman Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead a multidisciplinary research program focused on the prevention and treatment of vascular pathologies.
• Develop and conduct original research within a multidisciplinary highly productive vascular medicine team studying treatment and prevention of vascular disease and its impact on a broad range of patients.
• Submit requests for external funding to support research activities from external sponsors and federal agencies on behalf of the Department and College
• Disseminate results of research through publication and presentation at scientific meetings/conferences
• Hire, train and mentor research staff and vascular surgery fellows.
• Collaborate with the Departments of Internal Medicine and Surgery in providing patient care which enhances the research mission of the program.
• Other duties as assigned by the Department Chairman and/or other appropriate University authority
• Corroborate their activities with Associate Professors and Professors in their field of research.
• Graduation from ACGME accredited residency.
• Possession of a valid and unrestricted Oklahoma medical license (by date of hire), good references, and an exemplary practice history (as applicable).
• Board Certified or eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Association.
