Job Summary
The Office of Admissions is seeking a dynamic, student centered, professional with a passion for leading a campus visit program designed to establish Augusta University as a top-choice institution for prospective students and parents. The Coordinator of Campus Visit Experiences represents AU at both on and off-campus programs and events to prospective students, parents, high school counselors and other individuals and organizations by planning and implementing all on-campus visit programs and off-campus admissions events including preview days, daily campus tours, admitted student events, information sessions, group tours, all virtual events. The Coordinator reports visit data, and strategizes event efforts to meet future enrollment goals. The Coordinator. provides supervision of student assistants, campus tour guides, and serves as an advisor for the 1828 Student Ambassador program. This position plays a critical role in the strategic enrollment planning and leadership of the office, particularly the student staff who are responsible for representing the University. The Coordinator of Campus Visit Experiences will work in concert with the recruitment team, academic departments, student success offices, and other on- and off-campus partners, to recruit students and meet enrollment goals for the institution.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
COORDINATION OF ON-CAMPUS/OFF-CAMPUS VISIT PROGRAMS: Create a multi-year plan to develop, conduct, and assess all on-campus and off-campus visit programs, both face-to-face and virtual events, including daily campus visits and large-scale events, and off-campus admissions events by facilitating the visit experience through management, logistical coordination, student leader and staff involvement; information sharing, and training. Coordinate the logistics and scheduling for the day-of events, evaluating effectiveness as a function of yield initiatives and recommending improvements based on visitor experience and feedback. Collaborate and communicate with each of the undergraduate academic colleges to develop programming and faculty involvement, ensuring that each member of the campus community understands the purpose of the event, as well as their role.
BUDGET MANAGEMENT: Execute independent judgment to manage all expenditures and funds in a $50,000 annual budget designated for campus events and visits. This includes facility fees, employee overtime, food and beverage, setup fees, and promotional items.
CONDUCT DAILY CAMPUS VISITS: Represent Augusta University by conducting the daily campus visit program, delivering daily information sessions, and managing daily campus visits (face-to-face and virtual) to include scheduling visitors, scheduling 1828 Ambassadors for campus tours, providing academic major information, and addressing the interests of prospects and parents while showcasing the campus opportunities available at Augusta University.
LEAD 1828 STUDENT AMBASSADORS: Provides direction and leadership for the 1828 Student Ambassador program through the coordination, selection, training, management, and evaluation of the more than 30 campus tour guides, creating a well-trained core of representatives for the university. Recruits, hires, and selects 10-15 student assistants. Mentors and manages these students' assistants, directing their daily work assignments, timesheets, and professionalism.
MARKETING OF VISITS AND PROGRAMS: Collaborate with division leadership, digital content specialist, and communications specialist regarding the website and publications to promote campus visit programs. Develop customized communications plans as a follow-up to campus visits. Increase campus visits to maximize prospect yield to enrolled students.
REPRESENTATION OF AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY: Represents Augusta University to prospective students, families, and high school counselors. Answers inquiries and recruits students to Augusta University through college fairs and face-to-face and virtual school visits. Travel is required. Also works with the Assistant Director of Communications on Slate (CRM) processes that assist with admissions emails, inbound inquiries, text messaging, and other forms of communication with students. Responsible for admissions walk-in customer service and office phone coverage. Contributes to additional functions and projects in the Office of Academic Admissions; serves on various university committees, serves as liaison of admissions to the university for admission program.
OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of experience in recruitment, event planning, customer service, marketing, or higher education.
Valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Management skills related to supervision, planning, and familiarity with secondary and postsecondary school systems are also preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of Banner and Customer Service Management Systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and customer service skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently with undergraduate students and their families.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday-Friday (Work outside of regular business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B8
Salary: $45,400.00/annually - $50,487.00/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
