This involves selecting and evaluating nuclear safety controls to ensure protection of the general public, workers, visitors, and the TA-V staff. In addition, the Department ensures that the nuclear facility\'s safety documentation complies with federal law, Department of Energy (DOE) requirements and SNL standards and expectations. Org. 1383 is also responsible for implementing the Sandia corporate Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) Program.
