Job Description

Provide speech and language evaluations and treatment for patients seen in the clinics. Provide supervision of undergraduate and/or graduate students as needed. This is a temporary part-time position.


The College of Health seeks a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist to join our community serving Interprofessional Community Clinics. The ideal candidate will be committed to both patient success and student training. This part-time temporary position, with the availability of flexible hours, is a great opportunity to serve patients in a beautiful facility, to collaborate with colleagues committed to patient care, and to train future Speech Language Pathologists.

Job Function:

Provide speech and language evaluations and treatment for patients seen in the clinics. Provide supervision of undergraduate and/or graduate students as needed. This is a temporary part-time position.

Minimum Education:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution with CCC-SLP certification. Hold or be in the process of obtaining Indiana state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA). Eligible to be credentialed as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and commercial health insurance carriers.

Minimum Experience:

At least two years of professional experience serving individuals with communication disorders.

Preferred Experience:

Three years or more of professional experience serving individuals with communication disorders. One year of experience supervising students in training to become Speech Pathologists.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language diagnostic and treatment services across the lifespan to patients within the clinics.

  • Provide clinical outreach support through scheduled programming and health fair events in the local community as needed
  • Complete all necessary clinical documentation to support patient treatment plans and to facilitate the timely filing of health care claims to insurance payers

  • Provide clinical supervision to students in accredited training programs


  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to the clinic’s policies and procedures for securing protected health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Adhere to and strictly follow CoH Clinic’s policies on security related to clinical spaces and patient care and safety.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned
