The Office of Information Technology at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a temporary administrative employee to provide essential front desk support on an as-needed basis.

This is a call-in position with no regular schedule, and all work will be performed Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM.

About Temporary Employment Services (TES): TES, part of Auburn University’s Department of Human Resources, is our in-house solution for temporary staffing needs. We supply qualified and committed temporary employees across a wide range of roles to support departments throughout the campus. Temporary employees are brought on for various reasons, including:

Filling in for regular employees during absences
Providing additional support during periods of peak workloads
Assisting with special projects
Managing seasonal work
Emergencies

Essential Functions
Provides backup for Building Coordinator and Admin Support Associate during times of absences.
Serves as a front-line point of contact to students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public, answering and forwarding calls received by the University’s main phone line (844-4000) as well as the OIT phone line (844-4512). Assist callers by helping them determine which AU campus department will best handle their concerns.
Greets and assists staff and visitors entering the OIT Building.
Assists with visitor parking and guest wifi access.
Receives and distributes mail, daily freight, and loading dock deliveries from a wide variety of carriers; Prepares outgoing shipments and schedules pickups.
Maintains vehicle fleet user log and keys access.
Performs other administrative support and general reception duties
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years in administrative support services.
Degrees may substitute for years of experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills, dedication to customer service, and strong verbal and written communication skills are required for this position.
