Job Summary
This position will manage an NIH funded research study which will address the need for an inclusive measure of Alzheimer’s disease or Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias (AD/ADRD) related financial hardship (Inclusive Screener for AD/ADRD Financial Expenses or I-SAFE) for use by care contributors to sexual or gender minority (SGM) and non-SGM persons living with dementia (PLWD).

Responsibilities
Complete IRB CITI Course in the Protection of Human Research subjects certificate and Good Clinical Practice certification immediately upon hire
Supervise, mentor, and train new research staff
Responsible for data management
Coordinate day-to-day project activities including tracking project requirements, scheduling investigator meetings, participant recruitment, and generating meeting minutes
Produce recruitment reports and monitor progress toward recruitment goals
Monitor participant completion of study instruments for completeness and prompt return
Attend webinars, training sessions, and project meetings as required
Manage human subjects requirements including IRB paperwork and procedures (amendments, continuing reviews, etc.)
Purchase equipment, supplies, and assist with travel arrangements for personnel
Responsible for financial oversight of the project and reporting to the sponsor
Monitor budget expenses, contracts with various vendors, and participant payments
Act as liaison with central university research offices such as Office of Sponsored Projects, Grants & Contracts Accounting, and the Institutional Review Board
Other reasonable duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required. Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.
