Job Description
The Jihye Yun Lab at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center (#1 Cancer Hospital in the USA) (Genetics Department) focuses on unraveling the relationship between diet, metabolism, microbiome, and cancer, with an emphasis on discovering novel strategies for cancer prevention and treatment.
The ideal candidate must hold a doctoral degree in analytical chemistry or related disciplines and should possess extensive experience with LC-MS/MS instruments (accurate mass).
The candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge in the field of metabolism (preferably human and mammalian), including the identification and quantitative analysis of global metabolomics and isotope-labeled metabolomics. Additional experience in metabolic flux analysis and computational skills are preferred.
Candidates should be enthusiastic about collaborative and interdisciplinary research, motivated to work with team members, and demonstrate excellent scientific communication skills.
Highly motivated and energetic applicants are encouraged to contact me via email at [email protected] with a cover letter (including three reference contacts) and CV.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
A Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry or a related field (LC/MS for metabolomics) is required. However, candidates with a master’s degree and more than four years of in-depth experience in LC/MS, along with a strong publication record, may be considered for a different position (other than a postdoctoral role).
