Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and participate in system configuration, system enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance.
Monitor, plan, and perform system upgrades for business systems assigned. This includes quality assurance, troubleshooting, communicating, reviewing issues, recommending system modifications.
Maintain product expertise across the business systems application portfolio.
Mentor and assist support staff to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis/resolution of application issues.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and/or business analysts to iterate and improve existing or new processes and functions.
Collaborate with business analysts to provide system design options to meet business requirements.
Assists IT teams in the development of project plans to ensure projects are delivered on time and tasks are aligned for proper application delivery.
Ensures security standards are strictly followed and applied when configuring application-level settings.
Serve as lead technical liaison for multiple business units in supporting functional staff.
Collaborate with vendors to fully understand product roadmaps and assess how feature additions or modifications may impact assigned business units.
Partner with teams across the Division of IT to solve technology problems using SaaS systems and help scale existing applications.
Contribute to a highly collaborative environment with functional offices, application developers, data integrations and operations, and business intelligence.
Proactively recommend new features and improvements to optimize and grow the use of the platform.
Provide backup support and assistance to other team members.
Meet performance standards in accordance with service level agreements set by the information technology executive leadership team.
Assist in developing bid specifications and evaluations for cloud-based applications.
Develop and present proposals based on business system recommendations.
Document and communicate system changes, issues, and investigations.
Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles.
Keep current with technology trends through self-directed professional development, networking with colleagues, and completing training as required or recommended by IT leadership.
Explores modern technologies, tools, and techniques and works with the team and with leadership to continue to evolve our technology stack.
Participate in the planning and implementation of guidelines and procedures for application administration and configuration changes that are consistent with the Division of IT goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with the identification, evaluation, and selection of various technology applications to support the university.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:

Five years of relevant experience, including some combination of the following:
Experience with CRM or ITSM systems
Experience as an administrator of enterprise SaaS solution
Demonstrated ability to include a combination of the following:
Excellent logical, analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to conceive of the larger picture in relation to strategic planning
Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion, and tact in a professional setting
Ability and desire for independent learning
Personable and able to work in a small team environment, interact with peers and customers, and respectfully interact with students, staff, and faculty from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
Bachelor’s degree in technical or business-related discipline desired
Master’s Degree or MBA
Knowledge and understanding of integration tools and processes as well as relational databases
Understanding enterprise-wide systems with ability to design and support solutions for growth and scalability across multiple business functions and departments
Experience with Salesforce CRM and/or an IT Service Management (ITSM) tool
