The College of Arts & Sciences at the University of South Dakota is seeking a Program Assistant 1 to provide administrative support to the Dean’s Office and College activities. This is a 12-month, hourly position, with a start date as soon as possible. Duties will include:
Act as liaison with other offices and departments, including the President’s and Provost’s offices, the Registrar, Accounting, Graduate School, Continuing and Distance Education, and other academic units, as well as the faculty, staff, and public.
Develop and track internal policies and procedures, including personnel/HR, academic/student policies, record-keeping, annual evaluation and promotion process, hiring and searches.
Coordinate and oversee college functions, events, and activities, including student and faculty recognition.
Maintain calendars for the deans and schedule meetings for college committees.
Create and/or edit written correspondence for a variety of audiences.
Hire and supervise graduate assistants assigned to the Dean’s Office.
