This hybrid-online course for mid-career professionals in any career field (e.g., corporate, non-profit, civil service) is part of a 2-year, BA degree completion program for mid-career, working adults in Leadership and Organizational Studies.

This interdisciplinary course introduces the economic, political, and social context for leadership. By focusing on changing demographics and socio/political movements at the national and global level, learners identify the contextual influences on decision making, including power relationships, public policy and regulation, economic forecasts, and social trends. Learners will use macro and microeconomic concepts to analyze particular social issues and public policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
A masters degree in Organizational Behavior, Management, Leadership Studies or a closely related discipline.
Experience
· teaching mid-career adults;
· in student-centered, collaborative learning;
· working with student teams; and
· in hybrid or online learning environments including contemporary uses of emerging electronic technologies in diverse classrooms.
Evidence of effective collaboration with a variety of colleagues.
Demonstrates alignment of values with Saint Mary’s College’s Lasallian, Catholic, and Liberal Arts traditions in philosophy and action.
